"Living for Jesus so others may know him"

Relay for Life

Forming now and you can help!

The theme for Relay for Life this year is Celebrate! Remember! Fight Back!  Celebrate those who have beaten cancer. Celebrate everyone who has worked to make this happen.  Remember those who have lost the battle.

Cocalico/Ephrata Relay for Life is fast approaching. The event begins Friday, June 20 at 4 p.m. in the Cocalico stadium and ends Saturday, June 21 at 4 p.m. ECOB will have one or more walkers on the track the entire time. Our presence as part of a church family will be known. The front of our t-shirts sports the name of the church with the COB symbol and the back uses ECOB to form the phrase, “Eliminating Cancer’s Our Business.”

Why do we relay? Because we and/or our family members and/or our friends have been touched by cancer and we want to support research and services that can help cancer patients in their fights.

If you have never attended Relay for Life, stop by. The feeling of community is like that of the Disaster Relief Auction – people working together to help others. Perhaps the most moving time is during the lighting of the luminaria at 9 p.m. Friday night. Other activities, some far less serious, occur throughout the entire event.  Also, thanks for your support of our Relay for Life Isaac’s Community Night. We raised $221.47 for the American Cancer Society.

You can help by:
